Torrhen’s Square
Torrhen’s Square lies south-west of Winterfell, south of the wolfswood and north of Barrowton, near a broad lake whose water runs out by a river toward the Saltspear. Its walls are stone, thirty feet high, with a square tower at each corner and a square keep within. It is a strong castle, though not the strongest.
House Tallhart holds it. Its head is styled master rather than lord, and as the story opens he is Ser Helman Tallhart. The Tallhart banner shows three green sentinel trees on a brown field.
